Ketogenic Diet Talk With Dr. Angeli Chitale

Dr. Angeli Chitale will be talking about the ketogenic diet! She will discuss the pros and cons as well as what to consider before starting it. The talk will include a seven step guide on how to succeed with any diet plan!

Dr. Chitale is a Queen’s University Graduate in Molecular Biology and Genetics. During her final year of post-grad work in genetic research, Dr Chitale turned to natural medicine for treating her own knee injury. The impact was so significant it inspired her to study natural medicine for both treatment and prevention of illness which led her to pursue Naturopathic Medicine.  

While a student at The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), in Toronto, Dr. Chitale obtained further training in Ayurveda, botanical medicine and homeopathy. Upon graduation, Dr. Chitale obtained further qualification in Restorative Medicine for the treatment of Thyroid and endocrine conditions such as Metabolic Conditions, Fertility, Menopause / Andropause. 

Dr Chitale has served as a executive board member and chief Medical Editor for the OAND (Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors) and has worked overseas as a Naturopathic Doctor providing medical care to patients in remote and isolated areas of Central America, including running women’s clinics and teaching Botanical Medicine and  Clinical skills to prospective ND candidates from all over North America.  

Dr Chitale is a professional member of the CAND (Canadian Association of Naturopathic Medicin), BCNA (BC Naturopathic Association) and AARM (Association for the Advancement of Restorative Medicine). Dr Chitale holds additional qualification for Prescribing Authority and Acupuncture in BC and is a member of good standing with the CNPBC (College of Naturopathic Physicians BC) and CONO (College of Naturopaths of Ontario). 

Dr Chitale views health as maintaining balance within all aspects of a person: Emotional, Mental, Spiritual, Environmental, Social and Physical and treatment plans address patient needs on all levels.  When not in the clinic, Dr Chitale enjoys time writing blogs and articles for Flourish Magazine, working in the garden, hiking and kayaking around the island.
