Turkey Thai burger topped with a crunchy Asian slaw!
You will need to mix together ALL of these ingredients!
1lb ground turkey, 3tbs finely chopped shallot, 1/2 tsp fresh ground ginger, 2tsp finely chopped lemongrass (optional, but amazing), 1tbs basil- again, fresh is ALWAYS best! But I used dried, 1/2tsp lime zest, 2tbs chopped chives, 1 seeded and finely chopped jalapeño, 1tsp fish sauce (I know…ew… But don’t leave this out! Sometimes I use oyster sauce instead), AND 1tsp sugar!
MIX MIX MIX then on a med temp grill or pan have some fun and grill until cooked through!
While those yummy burgers are cooking let’s make some Asian slaw and my favourite sauce!
For the Asian slaw all you need to do is mix together:
1cup shredded carrots, 1cup shredded purple cabbage, 2tbs apple cider vinegar, 1tbs chopped chives, 1tbs olive oil, 1tsp sugar, salt & pepper to taste!
Next is my favourite sauce. This is simply one part mayo and one part sweet chilli Thai sauce.
VOILA! After all that you should have this delicious Turkey Thai Burger topped with Asian slaw.
